“I don’t think it could be much better. From the reception, to the bar, to the table the hospitality and comfort level were high and the food and drink were very good. Value is a subjective matter so, although some may consider its prices as being at the high end, we felt we received honest value. A crisp “bread”, appetizers of Nantucket Bay scallops and tuna tartar, main of halibut and side of Brussel sprouts were particularly noteworthy. The schnitzel main and the chocolate lava dessert. were satisfying. My judgement may have been slightly influenced by an excellent single malt before the meal, a very good bottle of Sancerre during – and the company of my guest. Good luck to all!”
