One of Top 10 Caesar Salads in New York City
In 1924, Caesar Cardini mixed the first Caesar Salad in his Tijuana restaurant. Word spread, and soon people were coming from far and wide for the savory green salad of romaine lettuce, olive oil, egg, Worcestershire sauce, anchovy, garlic, Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese and lots of black pepper. Julia Child remembered her family making a pilgrimage to Caesar’s restaurant for a taste of the famous salad.
Ever since, the Caesar Salad has been a favorite in fine dining establishments around the world. Aretsky’s Patroon carries on this tradition, with our own dinner-service Caesar Salad — some have called it the best in New York — hand-assembled tableside. Our Stephane can make a delightful show of it, and the end result is undeniably delicious! Next time you’re in, treat yourself to this special Patroon experience.
